Journey through the Belizean jungle to the magnificent ancient Maya city of Xunantunich, meaning “Stone Woman.” Cross the Mopan River aboard a traditional hand-operated ferry before heading uphill toward the ancient ruins. Once at Xunantunich, explore its impressive temples, plazas, and towering El Castillo, where breathtaking views stretch across the jungle and toward Guatemala. Intensity Level: Easy- Minimal physical effort, mostly walking on mantained terrain and trails with little to no obstacle Things to Bring: * Comfortable and light weight Long/short pants * Long sleeves for protection from the sun * Footwear fit for walking; climbing structures ( flip- flops not recommended) * Sunscreen * Hat * Bring reusable water bottles * Extra water * Bug spray * Camera * Necessary medications
